‘Hernia’ (25 x 25cm) is a studio drawing that continues Emily’s ongoing exploration into bodily processes as architectural spaces.

‘Leg Joint’ (21 x 29.7cm/A3) is one of a series of drawings made while designing a calling card to accompany the fountain ‘Innards’, which Emily made for exhibition ‘A Woman’s Place’ at Knole House, Kent.

‘Finger Railings’ (25 x 25cm) is a sketch working on ideas for a new commission as part of ‘Unbuild: a site of possibility’ at Drawing Room in autumn 2023. For this work, body parts enlarge and morph to become furniture-like elements for a strange interior.
