The ‘Flowerfield.jpg 2023’ image was produced using Adobe Photoshop, incorporating imagery in a range of resolutions collected from Google Images as well as the chat metaverse IMVU. Originally made in 2012, Emily Mulenga exhibited a version of it in 2015 at the Cybertwee HQ, a virtual reality exhibition space created by the art collective Cybertwee. Continuing explorations into themes of image consumption, capitalism and feminism that are central to Emily’s practice, this print is the image’s first iteration as a physical work.
